MFF room issue
There was a booking issue for our main hotel reservation and we only have our room friday to monday. There are three of us that are being left astray thursday night. I would like to make a shout out to any that could help board myself, koinu-kun, and Slayer for that first thursday night at the con. After that our reservation will be set. Even if it means being split up it would be really appreciated. I can be contacted on yahoo at Damaronwolf. Any help would be compensated in some way. Move done
The job of moving all of my shit to the new place is over. I ended up crashing again at my parents house last night. I was just wiped out. Nothing is unpacked yet and I have a lot of work ahead of me. A LOT! I will also be without internet for a couple weeks!! Anyone that needs to get in touch with me needs to contact me via cell phone until I can get comcast internet at the new house. The place still has a lot of the former tenants junk in it; which I will have to pack up and store for the land lady which was agreed upon. Since I'm getting such a good deal on living here it is just another way that I can make up for the low price. Needs for the house I will be making a list of. A lot of the lightswitches are linked to power plug ports so I need to get some lamps to plug into these ports and some end tables. I will probably be going to the salvation army to get some comfortable couches or chairs as I only have my desk chair and a few wood chairs that go with the kitchen table that was left for me to use. This is going to keep me busy for awhile and I probably won't push to get the internet right away either. See how well I can get along without it. It will be nice to not have the distraction. I never get anything done when I have the net. I will be online sporatically when I take my PC to a free WIFI area to use it to check messages. But that will be the extent of my use. Exciting times. I will hopefully have the place ready by my birthday. Maybe I'll put together a huge housewarming/birthday potluck party so people can see the new place and have some eats and socializing. Selling stuff.
This is a throw out to people on my list that might be interested to buy some trinkets, games, and electronics. I'll be listing items on ebay and craig's list in the near future, but I want to give friends a heads up first if they would be interested in buying some of "Damaron's personal belongings". I'll be selling parcels of many types. Types would range from: Video games, electronics, board games, books, and collectors items. Once I get my paws on a digital camera I will take pictures and post them so people can see what it is I'm selling. Vacation plans changed.
I am no longer a manager at the Green Road Busch's as of Monday 6/29/09. I'm stepping down from the position so I can retake my sanity and cool my jets. Which means I will have a greater chance to take my vacation days whenever I want to. I've been transferred to the Novi store and I'm taking up a Full Time cashier position to clear my records and then take another stab at management next year or a different position within the company. As for my vacations that I had posted about early in the year here are the changes and reminders. I have 4 weeks of PTO left or 184.52 Paid Time off hours including my sick days. I will be using some of it for time off in August as I had planned before. But I will not be going to Yellowstone National park anymore. For August 24th thru September 2nd I'm trying to make arrangements with Koinu-kun to take a train or plane to Jersey to visit his parents and also to tour around Atlantic city and New York. If there are any furs local to these areas that would like to visit while we are out that way let me know and it could probably be arranged. I'm changing my week off dates in October to try and match them up with Fur Fright in Connecticutt. The time requested is between Monday October 12th to the 19th. I don't know if I'm going to FF or not. But the plan is to head out that way to visit Sym and Thesius if possible. Flights are very expensive right now and Koinu would not be going with me if I went on this trip. Nothing is solidified for this trip and seeing as I'm also taking a paycut with my stepping down from managment I would need to save up for this trip if I were to go. Nice thing about this change in my position in the company is that I am very likely able to attend Midwest Fur Fest now. I've pushed for time off between november 16th to the 23rd. This will allow me to attend MFF if I get it. Since the con is in driving distance it will be easy to make it. I'm open for carpooling and helping others get there. I will need a hotel room to share and I would very much like to have a room with a bed that is fursuit friendly. I would also like to room with Koinu-kun if someone has the space for both of us. I haven't even checked with him to see if he has a room himself :P. In either case I will be looking into this and trying to figure it out as I go. This leaves me with 1 more week to soak up somewhere else. If I don't use it by November 28th I get paid out for the time and it resets for the next year. I'll probably use it for long weekends so I can go down to Columbus to visit Koinu. That's all that's going on for me right now. Furmeet in Columbus Ohio
Furmeet Event: Columbus zoo and water park When: Saturday June the 6th at 12:00pm (noon) to whenever people decide they want to go home. Possible after events party/hangout! Why: To enjoy some sunshine and look at pretty animals in the company of like minded individuals, then cool off in the afternoon sun with some wet and wild fun. Cost: 5$ per vehicle for parking. Approximately: 29$ for water park and zoo. If there are enough RSVP's the price goes down for group rates. And any costs for food are additional unless you bring your own lunch. Who is going: Damaron, Koinu-kun, and anybody else that RSVP's for the event.
FURRIES GET WET AND WILD AT THE ZOO!
Starting at noon on Saturday June 6th. The fun shall BEGIN!!
The plans are as follows... Everyone that shall be in attendance shall meet up at the Columbus Zoo between 11 and 12 noon on Saturday. Then we shall all go in and have a blast scaring the small children and gawking at pretty fluffy animals. After everyone has had their fill, we shall break for a lunch. Plans might be one of the zoo food courts, or for people to pack and bring a picnic lunch. And finally, it is off to get wet and wild at the fun water park right next door!! A perfect way to cool down after wandering in the hot sun...plus more opportunities to scare small children. Afterwords, people can feel free to go home, or if enough interest is there, there can be a post furmeet event like a movie or an after party hangout. Parking at the zoo/water park is about $5 per car. Carpooling would be a wise idea to cut costs as well.
The price of the event will include BOTH admission to the zoo and the water park.
For right now the price is 29.99 per head. But if enough people show interest in going we can get a reduced group rate to get people into the park and zoo for even cheaper. In order to plan for a group rate folks need to send in an RSVP so that a group rate can be arranged. If this event seems fun and happening, and you wish to make a showing, please contact Koinu Kun and/or Damaron about attending. Also any suggestions you might have to make the event more fun or places to eat are welcome, so include those to!
